For those of you that have already completed your holiday shopping, good for you. This post is for the rest of us humans that haven’t had the time to be that ambitious. Some of my friends will be lucky enough to receive some of these this holiday season…
Here are my favorite foodie gifts for 2010:
Beer and Pretzel Caramels
These little caramels are outrageously fantastic. They are from Liddabit Sweets in Brooklyn, New York. They use Brooklyn Brewery’s Brown Ale and East India Pale Ale, which is reduced and added to caramel along with crunchy bits of salty Martin’s pretzels. Yum.

These awesome little gems are available on the Liddabit Sweets website, foodzie.com and several locations in New York and the Boston area.

Oscar’s Smokehouse’s Irish Bacon
Now this is bacon that is soaked in whiskey… really, do I need to say more?? It’s probably to late to order this for the holidays (unless you are fortunate enough to live in Adirondacks), but does good bacon really need a holiday as a reason to have it; I think not.

Burnt Caramel Cups
These are amazing. There are truly no words for how these melt in your mouth with outrageous flavor and a touch a great salt to make that flavor really shine. These are dark chocolate cups that are filled with almost burnt caramel and topped with a couple bits of alaea sea salt. Ridiculous awesomeness from vianne chocolat in Boston.

Foodzie.com Tasting Box
This is a great idea for the foodie that has everything. It’s a sampling box that changes every month. The people at Foodzie.com select five sample products to send and your favorite foodie gets to try some new things. Plus you don’t have to agonize over what to pick; Foodzie does it for you!

Cheese Clubs!
This one is definitely on my wish list. I love cheese and what better than having some of the best cheese around delivered to your doorstep on a regular basis! I think that some of the good ones are through iGourmet.com and through Cowgirl Creamery. I love Cowgirl Creamery cheeses and they do a lovely cheese club in partnership with other great creameries. There are a couple different types of cheese clubs through each of these companies and all are worth checking out!

This is gift I gave myself this year. I went with a wine club through Cellars of Sonoma so I can get some the best that California wines have to offer and more variety than if I went with one winery’s club selection. Now I am getting wine delivered to my door that I would never be able to find outside of my trips to Sonoma County. Brilliant!

So happy you love the burnt caramel cups and honored to be among these other great food finds.
